About implementation of joint training of fire department and fire brigade accompanying autumn fire prevention campaign

The "Reiwa 3rd Autumn National Fire Prevention Campaign" will be held from November 9th to 15th, 3rd year of Reiwa.

Along with this, a joint training of Aira City Fire Department and Aira City Fire Department was held on November 7.

This training was conducted on the assumption that large-scale forest fires that occur frequently in recent years are assumed, and each branch relays firefighting water from the ground to the top of the mountain to extinguish the fire that spreads at the top of the mountain.

There are many factors that make fire extinguishing difficult, such as the need for a large amount of water for fire fighting and the need for a large number of personnel and equipment to prevent the loss of water pressure. This training aims to reconfirm these obstacles, utilize the organizational mobilization power that the fire brigade is proud of, and carry out fire extinguishing activities in cooperation with fire department staff.

Prior to this training, Aira City signed an "Agreement on Support for Supply of Fire Water, etc. in the Event of a Disaster" with the Aira Isa District Ready-to-Concrete Cooperative on August 19, 1991, and this training also The association dispatched four mixer cars to supply firefighting water for training.

In addition, with the kindness of the quarrying company in Aira City, we used the sloped land on the premises as a training site. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you.

Twenty-three firefighters and 62 firefighters ran up a slope with a height difference of about 80 meters and a total hose length of about 500 meters. ..

Since the amount of water used for a general bathtub is about 250 liters, this time we used 64 bath waters. (The water actually used is groundwater from a non-drinking factory.)

At the top of the mountain, an amphibious buggy received water from a small pump of the fire brigade together with a fire brigade member who discharged water, and the water cannon attached to the buggy discharged water to the expected location of a forest fire.

Through this training, we were able to collaborate with firefighters and fire brigade members, and we were able to conduct practical training on wireless operation between each branch of the fire brigade.
