The 4th Children's Firefighter Training Project was held at the Aira City Fire Department on March 26th (Sat) and 27th (Sun), 4th year of Reiwa. I participated.
The concept of this project is "career education", "life education", "disaster prevention education", and "leader education", and we learned from "Heisei" which was hit by various disasters such as the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, the Great East Japan Earthquake, and the Kumamoto Earthquake. The purpose is to pass on the knowledge and experience gained from this disaster to the children who support the era of "Reiwa".
This time too, three medical institutions (Kagoshima Medical Center, Yonemori Hospital, Prefectural Oshima Hospital) and the Kagoshima Prefectural Nutritionist Association Disaster Dispatch Team participated.
In addition, as a new initiative, we believe that Satsuma's unique intergenerational system and training of local leaders who do not rely on the public will contribute to future disaster prevention and activities in the event of a disaster, and the Aira City Junior Leader Club "Acorn" Members also participated as leaders of the volcanic HUG training.
Unfortunately it was raining on the first day, but in the morning, we held an introductory firefighting and rescue course at the fire department headquarters, and conducted buggy test rides, water discharge training, and smoke experience. For lunch, the Kagoshima Prefectural Nutritionist Association Disaster Dispatch Team will give lectures and actual meals for cooking training, and from the afternoon the location will be moved to the Kane Hall. We carried out the volcanic version HUG training by.
On the second day, Kagoshima Prefecture DMAT members exhibited echo experience, BLS, transceiver training, triage training, and doctor car / doctor helicopter exhibition at Kaon Hall. It was a tight schedule, but I think it was a fulfilling day for the children.
This time as well, it was carried out in collaboration with the Aira City Board of Education, but I would like to continue to expand the framework of cooperation by adding the education field to the multidisciplinary cooperation project and further focus on disaster prevention education.
Finally, it is thanks to the three medical institutions and the Dietetic Association that we adults received energy from the smiles of the children enjoying this project in the situation of being sunk worldwide due to the corona disaster. .. Thank you very much. Let's overcome this crisis at ALL Kagoshima!
