The season for Kajiki's famous Hatsuichi market has arrived again this year! Kajiki Hatsuichi, one of the three largest markets in Kagoshima Prefecture alongside Kawabe Futsukaichi and Takao Nonakaichi, has a long history and is said to have begun around 1838. There is an old saying that if you are blown by the wind of Hatsuichi, you will not catch a cold for the entire year, and so many people visit the event every year.
